ストームスヴィル・シェイカーからサーカスに至るまでの音源を集めた編集盤で、サーカスの音源にはアルバム未収録のシングルのA,B面と未発表曲も収録されている。
メル・コリンズの最初期の演奏が収録されている作品で、ストームスヴィル・シェイカー時代はサックスが中心で且つソロをとることもないのだが、サーカス時代になるとフルートも演奏し且つソロも収録されている。 ただその差がそのままバンドの進化を現している、などということは無く、一貫してちょっとサイケっぽいポップスが並んでいる。
CDジャケットにはシングルの写真が収録されているのだが、これらを本物で全て入手しようとすると、多分相当の気力と財力が必要になるはずで、比較的安価にCDで入手できるようになったことは素晴らしいと思う。 この手の音楽が好きな人には、資料的価値も高く堪らない作品なのかもしれない。

コリンズがクリムゾン参加前に参加していたバンドの唯一のアルバム。
「１年に一度か二度、ちょっとだけ聴いてみたくなるアルバム」という表現が妥当なところだと思う。　強いてジャズ・ロックとして過大評価する必要も、隠れた名盤として崇め奉る必要もなく、クリムゾンのコレクションの１つとして購入し、気が向いたときにでも聴けば良い作品だと思う。
コリンズのプレイは、『 Earthbound 』 での凄まじいサックス・ブロウもなく、後のセッション活動での手堅いものでもない。
